Happy Virtual Assistants Day!

Updated: May 25, 2022

In a world where everybody and their dog gets their day … well, today is our day!

About this time last year, we learned that Virtual Assistants had their very own international celebration day. We marked it on our calendars. We told all our friends. We shared it with our clients. Heck, we shared it with anyone who would listen. And, now we’re sharing it with you. We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you. And for that, we are truly grateful.

As we collectively fight to return to some sense of normalcy in the aftermath of a global pandemic, our thoughts are not far from what we just went through with the massive lockdown and quarantine. The losses, the near-misses, the gaping holes, the circumstances that caused us to focus on what matters most. For some, our lives are forever changed and it will be remembered as more than just “the thing that happened to me.” We treasure our new friendships, clients and bonds that were borne out of something that was meant to break us. Instead, it made us stronger, adaptable, and versatile. It caused us look into ourselves only to discover something we didn’t know was there.

We don’t know of anyone who hasn’t been affected by the pandemic in some way, shape, or form – financially, physically, emotionally, spiritually, or psychologically. It will be difficult to tell what the long-term effects will be globally. What we do know is, that we are resilient. Together we can continue to work together, to hold up one another, to show kindness and understanding.

So, on our very special day of days, we would like to take a moment to not only salute all of the hardworking virtual assistants out there, but all of those savvy, versatile workers who have had to transition into virtual workers for their employment during the pandemic.
